Edmonds & Slatter Team Raises Over £1,000 for LOROS Hospice

Five members of the Edmonds & Slatter team stepped out in support of LOROS Hospice last month, raising more than £1,000 while completing the charity’s annual Twilight Walk through Leicester. Linda, Carol, Emily, Natasha and Amy joined thousands of supporters on Saturday 20 June for the 10K Glitter and Glow themed Twilight Walk, which started and finished at De Montfort University’s Vijay Patel Building and took participants through the heart of Leicester and around Victoria Park.

The event is one of LOROS Hospice’s most popular fundraising activities, bringing people together to celebrate, remember loved ones and support the vital care provided by the charity to terminally ill patients and their families across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. The team’s participation held special significance this year, as Edmonds & Slatter is celebrating its own 40th anniversary in 2026. The milestone inspired the company’s decision to select LOROS as its Charity of the Year, following the hospice’s own 40th anniversary celebrations last year. In addition to the shared landmark anniversaries, the team wanted to support a local cause that provides such valuable care and support within the community.

Thanks to the generosity of patients, colleagues, family, friends and supporters, the Edmonds & Slatter fundraising page raised an impressive £1,034.17, including Gift Aid, helping LOROS continue its essential services.

The Twilight Walk's vibrant glitter and glow theme created a memorable atmosphere, with walkers lighting up the city streets in a sea of colour, music and celebration. Participants wore official Twilight Walk t-shirts, many personalised with messages of love and remembrance, creating a powerful symbol of community and support throughout the evening.
